Geesh, another night of weird dreams. This time it was creepy.
In my first dream, we had this plot of land where cremated remains were interred. I saw a cousin who was about to deposit the remains of her husband. It was placed in a travel bag (which in hindsight is funny). The dream was creepy because the husband is alive and kicking as we speak.
This dream must have been inspired by my experience almost two years ago. I had the remains of a maternal uncle exhumed, cremated, and interred at a more permanent place (the lease for the previous niche was expiring at that time). I am reposting the LiveJournal entry:
This is with regards to the transfer of my maternal uncle’s remains. We had it cremated and transferred to a small place. So here are the pics.
The caretakers opening the tomb.
The opened tomb.
The coffin and what’s inside.
The caretakers transferring the bones in a box. Note that they were doing so using bare hands.
My uncle’s mortal remains after 25 years.
Preparing for the cremation.
The remains after cremation.
They have to grind the charred bones.
Transferring the ashes to the urn.
This is the place where we interred the ashes.
In his niche.
Sealed forever in peace.
Anyway, the other dream was about seeing two churches in one place. The first one was huge, the other one was smaller. And the mass in the smaller church was unusual, using corn chips as hosts, and the altar was a folding bed. This dream must have been inspired by a twin church in Germany that I saw in KBS World.
And oh, I had not taken any medicine last night, just to preempt Joyfulchicken’s usual retort he he he.
Did you… uh, never mind.
Using corn chips as hosts sounds like a wonderful idea. Now that’s a religion I can support.
You should drop by Bustillos in Sampaloc, Manila. There you have 2 churches in one backyard. Celebrating mass simultaneously.
Hi, Josh, that would be fun, no?
Hi, Dhon, I know that place, my cousin lives quite nearby. The twin churches in Germany that I was talking about is quite unique: one church is Roman Catholic, the other Lutheran..
